| DESIGN NAME: Design and Survival Between Earth and Water PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cinema INSPIRATION: The circus culture, one of many heritages that Russia has left for Dalian, has been visualized on the aluminum strips ceiling at the lobby as a prelude. Arrays of aluminum strips with various directions produce a fancy ambience similar to the sunlight getting in through the tent roof. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: There are 3 impressive little huts standing in the tent, which are housing ticket box, concession counter and ATMS, they are diverged by 3 warm tones of red, orange and green, in order to define spaces and introduce the warm mood into the interior. The warm mood has extended into the corridor area outside theatres, stucco paint acts as a media that allows the colours of red and green to confront along all the ceiling and walls.
