| DESIGN NAME: Origami space definition PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sales center INSPIRATION: Design ideas: Throughout the design, we apply a new layout idea that runs through the whole series from all the different spaces,while defines the spaces,to achieve the beauty of the overall shape, instead of using traditional ways of thinking and the idea of dividing the region through the solid wall(The limited space would be cut into small and scattered pieces,therefore,the external overall look is messy.) .This is our idea of origami art. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The definition of space: Firstly,origami encloses a lobby space; then use valley once to surround an auditorium,which will make it looks like an egg.Meanwhile,along the direction of origami, skillfully positioned out a sale control reception by using the valley,an then followed by a sand table through spatial rotation and reception hall through lines rolling……The jagged shape of origami (on the ground - wall - top - floor - wall) is well-spaced placed in the square glass box . OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: this project is the a sales center, the overall idea is about how to attract.people to come, our design helps our client a lot.This project is designed by Kris lin and Jiayu yang. They came to the site to do some research and wanted to help customers find the suitable style compeleting the projects. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: It is exhibited in shanghai ，China . |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Lati wood, cotton wood, aurora marble. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: It is 800 square metres and costs $538650. TAGS: Sales center， Origami ， Interior design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: this project is located in shanghai, the most modern city in china, We want the modern city to be associated with art, so we hope that the art of origami will bring more possibilities to the project.and we just make it. We use the wood to carry out twists and turns, to complete the fold, from the entrance to the bar, with modern materials to complete the works of art, which is a perfect combination. CHALLENGE: 1. Transparent space. How to define the space to distinguish the functional areas from each other, besides,without affecting the overall visual aesthetic of transparent space. 2.
