| DESIGN NAME: Schindler Elevator US Headquarters PRIMARY FUNCTION: US Headquarters INSPIRATION: Inspired by contemporary artists working with light and color to fabricate static art installations suggesting movement, the design creates a series of one point perspective 'mise-en-scenes UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project transforms a 1970's office building into a fitting U.S. Headquarters for Schindler Elevator Corporation, a leading Swiss brand know for its precision designed elevators and escalators. Using light and the colors of the Swiss flag, the design embodies Schindler's corporate brand and expresses the experience of movement and displacement of its products in a minimal aesthetic. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Simple light arches, inspired by art installations, dramatically transform this corporate office and create an inspirational workplace that is consistent with this client's brand, which is known worldwide for products underpinned by precision and high quality design.
