As we have seen, the trends are in favor of high capacity rides with interactivity, we pushed ourselves to make a design for a family waterslide but a distinctive one with interactivity. As a result we founded a racing concept family waterslide in total 8 persons at the same with a unique bowl where the users will experience G forces. In the meantime, to find a solution for the people who wait in the queue, we designed a start tower where people watch riders in the bowl.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This one of its kind hybrid design incorporates a variety of key features: unique geometry, high capacity, a never-before-experienced ride configuration and an exclusive interactive “Water splash” feature that ensures intense competition, adrenaline blasts. While designing the slide we also made another start tower design which is unique in the industry with a stair located in the center so we made the slide interactive. Moreover, people who are waiting in the queue will be able to watch the rafts.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
People who want to use the slide get into the tower underneath of the bowl and then reach to the stairs where they can watch the riders in the bowl while waiting in the queue and preparing a strategy. 4 persons from each lane in total 8 people start the ride and enter to the bowl from different directions at the same time and leave the slide from separate run outs. If any lane reaches to the nearest point at the top of sliding path, water sprays out from the top to the people in the raft.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in January 2015 and completed design in July 2016. Project will be introduced in 15 November 2016 in IAAPA Attractions Expo 2016, Orlando, Florida, US

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
We are using L-Resin Transfer Molding method which is the latest and leading technology in composites production. The primary advantage of L-RTM is that it allows creating each of waterslide components with a shiny, smooth, spectator appealing surface. The technique also allows stronger yet lighter waterslides which are easy to install. Because the surface is smooth, it doesn’t get dirty quickly and is easier to clean. As a result, maintenance costs are dramatically being decreased.

At First, we analyzed family waterslides in the industry to understand the needs while considering customer reviews of the waterpark visitors and their expectations from the park and the rides. After research has been completed, we created first models of the idea in 3D Cad environment. With the approval of motion and structural analysis of the slide, idea has been accepted to proceed with manufacturing.
The waterslide industry has a competition within launching new products. Introducing a new, game changer waterslide is quite important to create awareness. To design a waterslide with distinctive specs while staying in the limit of norms (EN,ASTM,CSEI,etc) to keep ourselves at the safe side for riders safety is a challenge itself. Slide should be easy to operate with low maintenance costs. The simulation and reality may be different than each other since the flow rates, wind, weight of the riders and air pressure of the rafts may affect the slide speed and experience.
