| DESIGN NAME: Interwoven PRIMARY FUNCTION: Gold Ring INSPIRATION: Like the whole world and the Nature , every single things in the world are interwoven to each other ! they united to each other to make a world a place to live ! this ring reminds me the whole world ! the singe lines interwoven to each other to make a strong and powerful shape, without unity they does not have enough power and role to make the shape! UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a unique Gold Ring which designed to show interweaving of gold pipes in a Organic way! the way the multi radius pipes has woven into each other in the whole shape of the ring which is absolutely hard in designing and producing the final product , OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This ring will be operated with 3D printers and then will be casted with 18 k gold with "Lost wax" casting method, PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in June 2014 in Tehran-Iran and finished in August 2014 in Tehran |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This design has been made by 3D CAD softwares by combining some algorithmic softwares and 3D cad softwares, the material used to produce in this project was 18 k Rose gold with black plated coating SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Ring Height: 35 mm- width :25mm- ring size : 55 Euro standard TAGS: Gold ring RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The main design research about this project was about how to design make the 3D model using CAD/CAM softwares without loosing the detail and complexity of the design, the way the pipes sink into each other could be modeled just with the "Generative&quo CHALLENGE: The main challenge for producing this design is the Casting step with 18 k Gold, and polishing/finishing phase, because of complex and elegance designs.
