| DESIGN NAME: Club Sukru Dudu PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hairdresser INSPIRATION: The influences of our design decisions can be traced into three ascpets.First, the analysing the customer profile and their behaviours, the location of the rental space and our clients atitute towards their work. Our scenario is, customers should not only get a careful hairdressing service, but also a space that they can have a break and get relaxed in their daily routines. We achieve this goal by creating intimate, semi-intimate and public spaces , since every layer has different functions, the selected equipment and materials are diversed. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Sukru Dudu Barber's Club is giving service to celebritiy society for years in İstanbul. The new store has opened at Zorlu Center, which was located at the heart of istanbul,Mecidiyekoy OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Due to shot time limit, coordination of the construction site, design team, client and landlord became an important aspect of the project. The local regulations of zorlu center analysed carefully. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in November 2015 and completed in January 2016 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Due to its durability, acyrilic surfaces used on countertops, wood veeneer and lacquered mdf are used for furniture pieces, and cnc milled perforated panels used for dividing spaces. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1878 cm x 688 cm floor area with with 6 meter height, including hvac equipments at ceiling with raw finish materials of building. TAGS: Barber, Hairdresser, Istanbul, Gentleman, Club RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: Project completed in two months starting from ,design manifacturing to assembly of furniture. Due to time limit, design process, approval of project, hvac and sanitary substructure, and construction site process had to be coordinated simultaneusly. Also another challenging part is, all this work had to done at night shifts because of the noise limit requlations of Zorlu Center. Proper scheduling , and tracing the tasks into subparts helped us to use manpower efficiently at construction site.
