PLUS Q is a cosmetic package that has a shape of Erlenmeyer flask or a conical flask. This design concept is designed to criticize the term "chemical free" or a phenomenon "Chemophobia" .
Every cosmetic product "must" be produced in the lab. And obviously, all of the natural, skin-friendly cosmetics could be developed owing to the chemistry.
The concept also advocates eco-friendly by using bio-plastic, which has been available by the development of chemistry.
Chemistry adds quality to your life.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
PLUS Q is a cosmetic package that has precise design purpose. It is designed after an Erlenmeyer flask or a conical flask. I tried to emphasize the simple beauty of lab products by white, conic body and designed unique Q-shaped nozzle with three orifices to widen the range of mist. And considering every natural product is in fact, is all chemical compound, I tried to represent the image of nature by applying a motif of bamboo to the grip of the product.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Three orifices widen the range of the mist. Bamboo node shaped neck of the package provides the convenient grip to the user.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in October 2015 in South Korea and finished in January 2016.
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Triple orifice nozzle required
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
32.00mm x 105.82mm x 160.85mm

Motivated from Erlenmeyer flask, or a conical flask. Tried to make chemistry more friendly to the people since though its contribution to the biochemical industry, and even to the environment and people's life, quiet many of people think that chemistry or chemical product is harmful, without logical thinking. I spend much time at the chemistry lab, then I found that plenty of lab products has very simple and elegant curves. Why not adjust these beautiful curves to the package design? Then I got on work designing PLUS Q with rhino and keyshot. To criticize the ignorant hatred to the chemistry.
This design concept is designed to criticize the term Chemical-free or the phenomenon Chemophobia.
Chemical free is a term used in marketing to imply that a product is safe, healthy or environmentally friendly because it only contains natural ingredients.
From a chemist's perspective, the term is a misnomer, as all substances and objects are composed entirely of chemicals. The term chemical is roughly a synonym for matter, and all substances, such as water and air, are chemicals.
