| DESIGN NAME: Renaissance Minsk Hotel Lobby PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lobby and Bar INSPIRATION: Located in Minsk the capital city of Belarus, offers 267 guest rooms, as well as a restaurant, a full-service spa, pool. Our team created a relaxed, peaceful lobby space drawing inspiration from Minsk's landscape, culture, lifestyle and the history. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Every corner of the lobby is sensitively designed with the inspiration of the nature of Minsk. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: All elements and patterns on the surfaces are inspired by contemporary style is dominant from design to use of indigenous materials and accents of locally inspired artwork. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project design started in December 2011 and finished at the end of 2012. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Materials, including wood, stone and wools, are largely natural to create aesthetic and holistic context. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Total area of the lobby including casino, restaurants, bar and waiting area is approximately 1100 sqm. The hotel offers 267 guest-rooms defined by impeccable craftsmanship and bespoke finishes feature wood clad walls, custom carpeting, and faceted metal pendants. TAGS: hotel, lobby, restaurant, bar, russia, minsk, contemporary RESEARCH ABSTRACT: An arrival zone, the first indication to visitors entering the area, offers a bar and a bistro serving drink and world cuisine. The zone is also the brand's signature a spa with individual treatment rooms and a pool. The multifunctional lobby space is intended to be shared by the community and provides people of the hotel with a vibrant space to gather. CHALLENGE: The ground level reception is framed by gold metal and wooden mesh and accented by cream marble and bronze mirrors, while the small lobby bar located close to entrance features a mural depicting a composition of the nature of Minsk.
