| DESIGN NAME: Silent PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hair Dryer INSPIRATION: An optimal user experience was the main driver behind this new hair dryer. Researching the routines of users and understanding their pains and troubles during the hair drying ritual inspired us to start with a clean sheet of paper and to question every single part used in conventional machines. Since the user is the center of the development, we wanted the design to be clear and understandable, while having a clear relation with air flow in every aspect. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Silent hair dryer aims to be the most silent hair dryer on the market. To facilitate this user advantage a fan is used that is completely different from existing products. The user experience has also significantly improved on product handling, since the number of buttons is cleverly reduced by introducing a rotating control ring that enables a quick and easy change of air speed. The overall innovative character is highlighted by a fresh design with a focus on useful patterns and curves.
