| DESIGN NAME: Myna PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pendant INSPIRATION: Myna bird and the paisley patterns are the main inspiration for this piece. Mynas in eastern cultures are regarded as symbols of undying love, because they often pair for life. Moreover, since these birds have the ability to mimic human sounds, young men would teach them a few words that could express their feelings, and give them as a gift to the girl they were in love with. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Myna pendent is an abstract and dynamic piece of art that shows beauty and elegance of an undying love. This pendant was the main piece of the first collection (opening collection) for Mina Contemporary Jewellery Gallery in Tehran. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Myna isn't just a simple pendant, it is a timeless art piece. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 1. 3d modeling in matrix. 2. high quality 3D print with wax 3. Cast the model with gold. 4. Polishing the piece after casting. 5. Adding Diamond to the Golden piece. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 12mm x 10mm x 40mm 15 gram 18k yellow gold 1 carat brilliant-cut diamond TAGS: Jewelry, MinaJewellery, wearableart, abstract, pendant, love RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Based on market research, I realized if the name of the company somehow would be represented in the form of a collection, the brand can become more memorable for people, specially young Iranian generation who have high respect for their cultural values, as well as their art and design. (Mina and Myna are essentially the same thing but with 2 different dictations) ) CHALLENGE: The main challenge was designing a very simple form that can represent brands name as well as having modernized usage of historical patterns.
