| DESIGN NAME: Chuva PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pendant INSPIRATION: My source of inspiration to design this pendant was the music of a Portuguese singer, Mariza, to whom I was inspired by and then this design came to my mind because I am used to see my feelings in the form of a picture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This pendant was made after a Portuguese song. The lyric of this song is about the memories created by special people in our lives. Despite the cultural differences between me and the singer, the only common point between us was the feeling transferred to me by this song; a feeling that I guess has been experienced at least one time by every people in the world: falling in love, losing, living with memories and going on. A sense of hope in this design makes it different. It is a sense of living and going on with difficulties and feelings of loneliness. The culmination of this design was derived from the following two key sentences. That the fire of love , in the rain just now died. The rain listened to my secret and shared it with the city. A drop of rain that included a tree is a symbol of movement and the moment of impact of rain with the ground; and a tree that is the symbol of life and the blossoms that are the symbol of hope. One of the points of distinction in this pendant is its rotation in all angles. Cool colors that are the symbol of sadness were used for the design of rain drop and warm colors that are the symbol of happiness and hope were used for the design of tree in order to create a balance between sadness, happiness and hope. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This Model designed by Matrix software and can be made by 3D Printers PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in January 2016 and finished in February 2016 in Tehran-Iran. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Materials: a combination of gold with three colors of rose, white, black, diamond stones, blue diamond and Ruby SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Product dimention is 34-40 mm Height, 20 mm Width and 20.1 mm Length (From top view) TAGS: Chuva pendant RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Searching to find the real meaning and closer tranlation to my language and the feeling behind this music. CHALLENGE: Challenge: The biggest challenge during making this design is how to show my feelings in the form of a design.
