| DESIGN NAME: Vdrop™ PRIMARY FUNCTION: 55 inch UHD TV INSPIRATION: Demand of consumers from TV sets is evolving. Sound quality getting as important as display quality. Users see TV unit as a hub for mobile goods, maybe an ambient lighting is getting significant in such units. This design solution blends these considerations into one superior TV concept. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Vdrop™ is developed with a distinctive design thought. A modular approach to home entertainment system and TV unit, An all in one solution. Users can choose the feature (ambient lighting, speaker and wireless charging) according to their needs and combine it with TV stand easily. Main consideration is mobility and lightness in home environments. Thanks to its CNC milled frame (7 mm) It is managed to keep its weight below well under safety limits. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project is started in June 2015 in Manisa /Turkey and finished in January 2016 at Manisa/Turkey. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: TV itself is produced by milling from aluminium. The stand of the TV is manufactured from aluminium extrusion profiles (Silver brushed eloxal coated) by using just one extrusion mould. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: Television, Stand, Modular RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The hardest part of this project is to develop a sleek design solution by using local production facilities and keeping it low priced in order to create a marketable design.
