| DESIGN NAME: KX-05 KARBON Glove PRIMARY FUNCTION: Industrial Protective Safety Glove INSPIRATION: The KARBONHEX name itself by the way is derived from the combination of Carbon Fibre and Hexagon, - being a high strength to weight ratio material based around a hexagonal structure, natures perfect shape. KARBONHEX is and always will be a work in progress, it’s a living breathing entity. Constantly expanding and evolving to meet the constant new risks and challenges that confront thehands of working professionals on a daily basis. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Form fitting Spandex provides a flexible and breathable back offering a secure comfort fit Ultra high abrasion synthetic suede palm offers durability and long lasting comfort Rough grip distal palmar composite patch, plus a reinforced forefinger / thumb grip zone Low profile, dorsal TPR full finger & knuckle guards prevent injuries from impacts and knocks Discreet half woven elastic support cuff with Velcro adjustable closure for a perfect & secure fit Impact absorbing XRD palm, please refer to video OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: By using the lastest materials the glove affords more protection in all areas whilst remaining lightweight and comfortable PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The initial concept was discussed in a bar over a few fews beers in Shanghai early in 2015 - it evolved over a period of time and initial concept samples were displayed at A+A safety exhibition in Dusseldorf Germany in October 2015. Feedback was extremely positive with clients wiching to take on the product immediately. However, we deceided to improve the performance and range further and will now be launched at the Cologne Hardware and Tooling exhibition in March 2016 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The palm area is manufatured from a ultra high abrasion synthetic that is a leading material in this area offering increased durability and protection. TPR (Thermal Plastic Rubber) Impact Energy Dispersion System is applied to the back of the gloves/hands.These provide low profile flexible impact guards against impact injuries. XRD specially formulated padding in the palm significantly reduces shock and vibration from power hand tools. Normally we manufacture for OEM customers but decided there was a need in the market for a range of high specification hand protection that not only permormed well but also looked Kool. NAME: Safety INXS PROFILE: Safety INXS is the globally respected independent manufacturer of industrial safety gloves. While the products from Safety INXS are created from strong material, the company was born out of passion for innovation in the industry and a dedication to help protect people. Two young entrepreneurs created the business after a chance meeting out of a tiny office in Shanghai. As ideas whirled around their first, shared office, the bright-eyed men began to build their brand, choosing the name Safety INXS (pronounced In Excess) after the Australian rock band. (Friends of the two eccentric men were not surprised by the name choice.) The very first company logo was hastily, if not terribly, sketched out on a scrap of paper, and the realization of Safety INXS quickly followed. From those humble beginnings, the INXS team worked tirelessly (having fun along the way) to create the internationally known industrial glove company, earning them the nicknames the glove geeks. Since those early days, Safety INXS has grown substantially, bringing on staff members that are friendly, supportive, and just as geeky as the founders. Because the number of glove geeks (or team members as their professional job titles state) kept growing, the smaller, previous offices of Safety INXS were cramped with too many team members, coffee mugs, and glove prototypes lying around. The operational headquarters has since moved to the 9th floor of the New Century Business Tower in Shanghai – much to the relief of the staff; they’re only a happy bunch when they have enough room to breathe, get their caffeine (green tea) on, and stretch. With a brand-spanking-new headquarters, an amazingly talented and spirited staff, and a desire to keep their reputation as the best and geekiest glove company around, Safety INXS is excited to continue to bring the world a new standard of hand protection.. |
