Nidar Valentine Sjokolade
The pattern is inspired of “Mariusgenseren”. For decades mums and grandmothers have been knitting this sweaters to their kids, husbands and families. The sweater and the pattern is a trend that never gets old. It's used when going cross-country skiing, weekends at the cabin and also in our graduation part. A Norwegian sweater with history, memories and love.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Nidars Valentine chocolate edition is made to be shared or given as a gift to someone either a boyfriend, spouse, partner, parent, grandparent or a friend. The idea behind the concept is to create a more personal connection between costumer and product. On the packaging there is a white paper field, one can write a personal message on.

A chocolate packaging especially made for Valentine Day. Target Group 16-40 years. Fictional assignment.

On the packaging there is a white paper field, one can write a personal message on. On the front it says "To:" and "From". And on the back it says "to you, from me" letting you write a message, poem or something nice on the back.
Example front "To: mum From: me "
Example back "Happy valentine, you are the best! I love you, hugs"

Looking into food packaging trends, it shows that people like getting involved in the design with personalized products. With the naming-campaign that Coca Cola rolled out, they achieved extreme heights on social media. Showing us that connections between brand and customers are extremely important and valuable.
The hardest part was to figure out a campaign that will contribute to increased sale and get new customers in the long term. I believe if the customer uses the product in pleasurable situations with good company they get a better opinion with both the taste and the experience. By using valentine day, it gives customers sweet associations to what they did that day with the product. Seeing the customer probably will be buying this to celebrating the day of love with a boyfriend, girlfriend, mum, a good friend etc. This might even be a good comforter and a friend if you are lonely this day.
