| DESIGN NAME: Avia PRIMARY FUNCTION: Light Installation INSPIRATION: The lighting installation was inspired and designed for a particular space with a great height and huge windows on two sides of the room on the main floor in a private house.The main idea of this was to be able to react with sunlight through out the day and indoor spot lighting in the evening, so that its glass facets can refract and reflect the light, with a rainbow effect. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The installation has been created in a pyramid shape which takes after the letter "A"-an elegant symetric letter with strong symbolism.The lighting object hangs 5.6m from the floor in two steps from the ceiling and shows the shape with expressive pinnacles creating a feeling of dynamics and strong impression.The materials are:27 glass details Clearvison Faceted polished glass enabling a great wealth of refraction and reflection of light, polished stainless steel details and steel ropes,1.5mm. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The reaction with light for the installation is performed in 2 possible ways.The first is when the faceted glass letters react with daylight and sun rays that refract, reflect and cast back gleams on the surrounding walls.During the evening the polished steel and glass on the installation are lit up from 3 spot lights mounted in the ceiling above it.Their light reacts with all the components of the installation and makes unbelievable reflections and the best hyper realistic shadow effect on the walls and objects of the interior. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Lighting Installation Material :Clearvison Faceted Glass Letter -for the processing of the glass parts a Water jet cutter and specialized machines were used for faceting and polishing by hand and mechanically with great precision and a lot of patience .Different details from stainless steel were created using laser cutter, lathe and milling machines,argon welding and polishing in the end, which allows them to look like parts from a piece of art. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimensions: 1000 mm x 3000 mm x1500 mm.
