| DESIGN NAME: Love Over the Rock PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hotel INSPIRATION: Using the "Heaven, Earth and Man" as the original designing thoughts, the designer introduces the idea from “The Book of Changes”, "First, there is heaven and earth, and then there are beings." He sees the sky and earth at the dining space as a vertical scroll, and the customers as part of the composition. He hopes that the restaurant could be a fantastic place for customers to get together, and to hold banquets. The designer uses characters wisely, separating "Da Si Xi" words apart, and reconstruct them in the space of restaurant. This reconstruction is an inherited oriental aesthetic design which mixed with “Four happiness coming home” (meaning great fortune) in the whole restaurant. The bathroom located in the living room is furnished with French chairs and designed furniture. The bedroom cladding is of primary concern in which the 30% of the space is reserved for planting, the design that makes the tourists feel as if living at the oasis in the city. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: - SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The diverse materials are built for a triangular configuration that separates two spaces with different functions, the arrangement making the field of vision into geometrically decorative style. TAGS: Stylish hotel RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The idea of the primary space is derived from the concept of cave, the space in which the lines between the walls and ceiling are the characteristics that make people feel as If living in austere wilderness surrounded by mountains. CHALLENGE: The images of sky appear in the bar area, and the illumination lights with different heights decorate the interior space. The natural surface materials construct the geometric lines which correspond to shadow, scale, and color through the decoration effect from multilayers, the design creating the unique, private, and funny vision.
