DESIGN NAME: Green Mountain
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Reception Centre
INSPIRATION: This case is located in the North district of Taichung, around the base is the complex urban texture of the new-old-border area, within the scope of such an area, in addition to a variety of different periods and styles of buildings thriving to compete, there are also a huge mass of the greenbelt : large areas of the parks, botanical gardens, museums and greenways intersperse around. Markets, old and new buildings intertwine, are presenting a typical oriental city chaos, and unique view of flourish.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main principal, creating a distinct from the of the excessive turbulence and the boisterous city atmosphere outside the base field. On the design of the facade, designers use black and white as the main colors, emphasizing the horizontal dimension of the elongated window. The L -shaped convex roof extends all the way from ground level to the ceiling. The inside is decorated with warm moist wood-colored material, creating a transparent, grand but delicate texture for the entrance atmosphere, thereby to create an invisible boundary of inner and outer, silence and disturbance.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Straight, simple corridor stands in the inside of the indoor, as the mediator of the inner and outer space. A few pieces of simple sculptures create a spatial texture as if one is placed in a gallery. Through a window, you can see a well-designed atrium garden, with a rectangular pond matching a wooden platform with black and white sofa chairs. In addition, the shrubs and aquatic plants in the pond add to each other’s splendor, creating an absolutely relaxing tranquil outdoor space. From the outside to the inside, it allows viewers who placed themselves in it feel like they had experienced a perfect journey for body and soul to diastolic pressure. A precious oasis in an oppressed city dessert, it deserves its name.
