DESIGN DETAILS
DESIGN NAME:
Paul&Shark

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsive Webdesign

INSPIRATION:
Paul&Shark is a total-look luxury brand beloved by people appreciating the quality of Made-in-Italy and the high performance of technical materials, many of them patented by them. So Paul&Shark itself is a source of inspiration.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
I adopted a new approach for the website navigation: simplicity, minimalism and no more than 3 clicks to reach every area of the site. The website is also connected with the dedicated Paul&Shark mobile application, which allows you to save items from the website to your smartphone, simply by scanning the barcode.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
3 Clicks to reach everything the customer needs.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
Started in October 2014 in Milan, Italy. Presented on December 2014.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
I used Balsamiq mockups to organize the flow and the wireframing. The visuals were made with: Photoshop and Illustrator. The interface assembled with Bohemian Sketch. And prototyping with HTML/CSS/JS.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
Fully responsive webdesign. Mobile, tablet and desktop. Retina ready.

TAGS:
italian, paul, shark, luxury, brand, fashion

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The information architecture and how information is organized played a huge role in the design process. Considering all the exciting new technology that boomed in the last years. What was really exciting was the proximity marketing using the bluetooth technology. This technology enables a whole new level for the customer experience and tailored suggestion for each individual customer. The website, app and the experience when walking inside a store connected all together. A design ready for the internet of things.

CHALLENGE:
The challenge was to organize the content in order to find everything needed in under 3 clicks. I took a lot of time prioritizing and organizing what is most relevant for the customer. With such many different sections of the site it was quite a challenge for the navigation elements, and how customers reach a certain area of the page by following some exact patterns. This allowed me to create a very clean interface, without missing anything for the customers.
