INSPIRATION: An interior space should make a balance between functions and aesthetics, so the users can be both a main subject of the design and a viewer of it. That's why, the inspiration comes from historical and traditional aesthetic memories without imitation but adaptation with technology.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The balance of industrial elements like lightings and air ducts set against antiques, geometric ceiling panels, floral wallpapers, metal motif panels and decorative wall panels give the space an artistic impression that also provide to work with enjoy.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Although the users in this office found the workspace poorly lit in the beginning, they got used to it easily and said they feel more relaxed and cosy.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2013 and finished in April 2014, located in Istanbul

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The building was sited on 1989 as a shopping center but was not used for about ten years. Being an old building, it was paid attention not to harm, so technical elements left out and supported with visual industrial elements and colours. The combination of all contemporary materials supporting the technical elements could match with the antique furnitures and other decorative objects. There are two storeys, roof garden and an atrium organized as reception, open working space, meeting rooms, multi-purpose hall, offices, call center and two duplex executive rooms with bathrooms.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Totally 1660 square meters, has two storeys and an atrium.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In research process, a lot of firms were analyzed in order to find high quality materials to match up with each other by colours and textures.
CHALLENGE: The variety of materials, their finishings and joining details require unusual techniques onsite.
