| DESIGN NAME: Day and Day PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: For the Chinese, the circle is a symbol of the family reunion since the ancient time and gives the family members stability and centripetal force. In the daily life, the round table in the open dinning room is the center for the family reunion. In the Chinese Lunar New Year Eve, the family members get used to gathering together for the dinner to share what happened in this year. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In this oriental residence, we use the dark green color for the floor to symbolize the peace and comfort of the water and the yellow color, a symbol for the emperor in China to create some nobility and integrate the sense of Zen of the calligraphy and tea ceremony to create the life taste and the environment of Zen, mixed with the time and space, which is commonly seen in a place full of multi- culture like Taiwan. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Next to the round table, chairs at colors, preferred by each family member are set. Each color, each place and each character represent the mutual care, cooperation and interaction between us and the next generation in this peaceful and comfortable environment and transmit the family spirit in this cozy living place.
