The design of a working tool can considerably improve the lives of many people who use it on a daily and continuous basis. And at the same time it makes like easier for those who use it occasionally. This is why we focused on the product's portability, safety and level comfort. We design the product exclusively with the consumer's need in mind. We put ourselves in their shoes and identified interesting issues to be tackled in term of design: identity, quality, safety and comfort.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Tp 2000 is a new portable welding machine with an high level of portability and comfort thanks to the ergonomic handle and the special electrical cable winding system allows the operator to carry the product efficiently and safely. The product has a double ventilation system, front and lateral, which increases performance thanks to the high circulation of the air internally. It comes with a belt that is well integrated into the product's design.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The choice to design the product's casing entirely in plastic allowed us to obtain a shape and layout that maximizes the reduction of internal wasted spaces, thus leaving ample freedom for usage. The product's case is composed of single material which optimizers production costs, is easily recyclable and reduces assembly time. The handle is robust well-balances between the product and its weight. The belt is designed to be optimally integrated into the overall design of the project.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in May 2013 in Shanghai and finished in March 2014. It was exhibited in different Fair around the world.

With regards to the rear of the product we studied a formal solution that enables the winding of the electrical cord. This solution greatly improves the overall portability of the product.
We give a strong identity to the product and distinguish it from the competitors. We improved the product's performance and its interaction with the user. We obtained a comfortable handle, a hooking system for the belt and a winding system for the electrical cable directly from the body parts that make up the product. The casing is made entirely of reinforced nylon. Thanks to the choices we implemented we managed to achieve greater production economy, reduced assembly time and excellent recyclability of the product.
