| DESIGN NAME: CLINO PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wheelbarrow Table INSPIRATION: In a archaeological excavations circulates always a wheelbarrow, used to carry away the waste materials, but also as a chair improvised if the back is sore. If necessary, wheelbarrow can even be useful as a barbeque end excavation. So why not think of it as a base for a table where you eat, you work or play? Tavolinomono are furnitures to move to chase the shadow and cool during the summer heat. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Clino has been planned on a structure derived from a wheelbarrow which, thanks to the presence of a front wheel, is easily movable one from to another. Conceived and realized for the open air TavolinoMono Clino is a garden table, and has a flexible nature. It's a folding table. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Clino is a wheelbarrow table which a single person, thanks to the presence of a front wheel, can easily move one from to another. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Spring 2014 in Rome and finished in Dicember 2015 in the same place. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Clino is structured with two different planes, metal or wood, mounted on a galvanized and baking painted iron structure, with polyester resins characterized by high resistance to atmospheric agents and UV radiations (TGIC Free). Clino boarding wood is in natural ash tree (larix decidua), produced with ethical and social responsibility. The lumber comes from forests where logging is controlled, careful to the process of reforestation and rejuvenation of the forest, certifed PEFC. The planks have been fixed to the frame of Clino with inox steel screws, with insert torx to secure a perfect hold, avoiding any imperfection. The wheel is provided with an inflatable air chamber. It's an handicraft product, every Clino is a unique, marked and identifiable piece. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Clino's dimensions are mm 670 x 850, height mm 700; its pack is only mm 1100 x 600 x 400. TAGS: wheelbarrow table, garden table, out-in door table, folding table RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Clino is the evolution of an idea started with Type A.After solving the General functionality of sitting and movemntation we decided to develop the first folding table of Tavolinomono line. CHALLENGE: The main difficulty of this project was to develop the system to collapse, able to reduce its dimension to 40 cm height. After many tries, attended by all team members, we have achieved this result. NAME: Tavolinomono PROFILE: Tavolinomono tables have been planned on a structure derived from a wheelbarrow which, thanks to the presence of a front wheel, are easily movable one from to another. Conceived and realized for the open air Tavolinomono is a garden table, and has a flexible nature. The table can be easily moved by a single person: you can relax outside even in the heat of the day placing the table in the shadow under a tree in so avoiding artificial coverings. Tavolinomono remind the carts of the street vendors, widely spread in all the villages of the Mediterranean until a few decades ago. It's an handicraft product, every TavolinoMono is a unique, marked and identifiable piece. |
