RESEARCH ABSTRACT: By analyzing fashion industry it was noticed that these days a black-and-white color palette became an imperative and is a safe place to stay in terms of aesthetic tendency. Wearing bright colors requires some degree of boldness from ordinary people. It was suggested 10 different color schemes for the focus group and the feedback was collected. First customer reviews after the initial release of first Sweater prototypes reassured that people appreciated the idea and perceived it correctly from the first glimpse.
CHALLENGE: It was a challenging part to create a clothes that is really colorful and balanced at the same time. It took an efforts to find the right match of colors and their appropriate number. The other challenges were difficulties with finding wool supplier that would have appropriate colors as most wool collections have quite pale color schemes; designing the correct pattern to be recognizable; lack of special equipment that could manage this intarsia knitting technique with five-colors pattern. Over 120 producers were approached and only several of them agreed to produce.
