RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The first research part for ARXI collection was the survey for the idea and the mood for the collection. Konstantin looking for a theme for the collection, it was the objective and find it in baroque style. Next step it was looking for proper shapes and forms. Next step it was looking for textures of different mood things. The last step it was looking for proper colour.
The second part is about combination all parts in the previous survey into the complete product with KOFTA style and esthetic.
The third part is to create the ergonomic shape together with our sculptor.
CHALLENGE: As a core and the primal part of the design process, the research on baroque architectural forms was held. The first phase of research was a creation of a mood board based on architecture shapes and inspired by natural forms. Thus, the theme of Baroque architecture was chosen. After the designer gathered images of around 50 shapes and elements of baroque architecture details and ornaments. The second phase of research was focused on narrowing the selection of shapes to leave only those that could be technically adapted to backpacks and proportions of the human body. The next step was to select proper materials that can reflect the idea entirely, which means getting proper colors and textures of the leather.
