| DESIGN NAME: OLED PRIMARY FUNCTION: Portable Lamp INSPIRATION: Inspired by old gas lantern / lamp. This design blends the taste of past and power of the future. The form of the body also gives some clues from the common gas lamp. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is not easy to find your way at night time when you get up your bed and also mostly in that case, no one prefers to open the ceiling lights. In light of this problem, O-LED is designed a compact portable lighting, inspired by the old gas lamps, interpreted with modern led technology. It is combined of two parts. One of this, bottom part is a base for energy and it has a rechargeable battery. Upper part is a portable light like a flash light to provide walk in darkness. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It is combined of two parts. The edge of base part has a light pipe and it gives an ambient light. Upper part is portable and has two lithium batteries inside. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Body PP, handle rubber. I can be produced by today's manifacturing techniques. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 168 mm X 238 mm (h) TAGS: light, led, turkish, lighting, portable, rechargeable, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Many objects are portable in this century. Users want to carry everything beside. So, the idea comes from this concept. When the first idea came, the portable objects are seached. CHALLENGE: The main concept of this project is that meeting of past and today. The concept is designing a portable lamp. So, people used to lantern lamp in past and the form of project should follow the past.
