| DESIGN NAME: Drum PRIMARY FUNCTION: Architectural Lighting INSPIRATION: We were inspired by the minimalistic design of the most remarkables examples of natural daylighting in architecture's history. From the classical lighting of the Panteon 'Oculus', to the neutral and homogeneous light of the Alvar Aalto architecture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Large dimension recessed light, surface or suspended, offering major luminous flux and apt to be unhooked from the ceiling as you wish. Drum is dimmable, to adapt the light volume to the specific needs of each application. Formally its design is expressed in a circular strip, slightly arched towards the center, and a minimum bezel. Perfect light diffusion in the entire illuminated surface and a seductive effect of natural light clarity. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Drum can be suited to each specific placement and application by dimming its enormous luminous flux to make it fit into desired functionality. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Drum 70 120mmX700mm - 10,5kg - 0,0877 m3 - Up to 8.050Lm / Drum 90 120mmX900mm - 16kg - 0,1368m3 - Up to 16.100Lm TAGS: Maxi ceiling, Lighting, Architectural Lighting, Ceiling Surface Lighting Fixture RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Marketing research in this specific lighting application between competitors and historical design references. CHALLENGE: One o the most important items was the neutral and homogeneous light dispersion. To get it, using an LED source, we had to develop a tailor-made solution for the Drum's PCB -in order to reach up to 16.100Lm with a perfect light presence in the whole lighted surface of the fixture-.
