| DESIGN NAME: Sheathing the Sword PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The living room, in extraordinary atmosphere, seems to carry a surrounded attitude. The designer emphasizes the modern craftsmanship and neo-classical extravagance. In the meantime, the designer also mixes the warm and calm materials, colors, and lightings that impeccably deconstruct the outline of situation and perfectly embellish the brand furniture in the space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The living room, in hidden and comfortable atmosphere, is the best place for hosting a banquet for guests. The wall is constructed by seemingly randomly- spliced stones but, in fact, such arrangements beautify the wall. The warmness of the woods balances the cold of the stones. The concentric stereoscopic ceiling performs the dome momentum in the hall and has harmonic conversations with a round dining table. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The lively and fashionable official residence-look of the overall design could bring out rich inspirations during every gathering, fulfilling the frequent social usage of the space. The specially-made stoned-walls underwent spontaneous cut-and-collage, and are balanced with the warmth of wood. At the center, the ceiling consists of 3D centric circles, harmoniously echoing its dome-like charisma to the round dining table. The designers even add a piece of glass at the edges of the double wooden doors, allowing the traveling of eyesight across the public and the private spaces. Looking out from the dining room, a statue with gray tenterhook could be seen, adding a touch of playfulness in between the visible and the invisible. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: woods, marble, iron items SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 427 square meters TAGS: Low-key luxury, warm, high quality, fur, wood, leather, stone, rich RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The master bedroom continues the low-key luxury of the overall design, as a wooden ceiling spreads relaxingly, the tender-soft textiles casting enchanting hues under the lightings underneath, as in dreams. The natural stone-made room body allows excellent day lighting. Among the stone tiles, antiskid seams are carefully designed. The bathing and shower area are efficiently separated by black marble stone, hinted with delicate modern carves doubled as storage space. CHALLENGE: The style of the main bedroom extends the luxurious fine quality of the main building. The flat wooden ceiling releases the leisure energy. The delicate and soft fabric texture on the bed and the fascinating gloss projected underneath the bed, make people swirl lightly in the dream. The bathroom is constructed with natural stones and the design of lighting is excellent in this area. The bathtub and shower area are decorated with black marbles which symbolize compartment by functions. The storage space, embedded in the wall, is the wonderful indication to the modern art.
