DESIGN NAME: Curiosity Essence
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Perfume
INSPIRATION: “Eternity exists in each and every moment”
Inspired by this few words, curiosity essence perfume illustrates how a frozen moment reveal its ultimate simplicity and infinite complexity.
This objet is created by the singularity of reality and the whiz of nature;
Movement, gravity, substance and light made that moment happen and the talent of a glass artist frozen it in time.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This perfume was created as Curiosity's orginal perfume collaborating with Japanese renowned glass maker, SUGAHARA for the hand-blown bottle and a young Japanese perfumer for the scent. The perfume concept succeeded "CURIOSITY ESSENCE" the monograph book, revealing firm's design inspiration from Japan and the perfume was designed with the same philosophy.
The suspended drop expresses the echo of memories, the simplicity of that moment reveal its transience as well as its immense preciousness,

NAME: CURIOSITY
PROFILE: CURIOSITY is a multidisciplinary studio based in Tokyo. The studio
is constantly redefining the boundary of design, from interior and
product design to architecture.
The characteristics of Curiosity design are translucency, emotional coloring and attractive forms. The design originates from a story board with people as the central focus, then he incorporates an element of discovery and unpredictability in the design. Each project design is like a perfume with the first, the second and the third note. At first the design seems cool and abstract, but when you interact with it, “surprise” something unexpected happen, a smile appear on your lips and finally the more you use it the more you feel attached to it.
