| DESIGN NAME: Alliance One International PRIMARY FUNCTION: Office Building INSPIRATION: Our customers needs were the starting point of the design. we combined our experience with the needs and started to work on the project. we stay far from vanity and design a modern working area with every tiny detail in it. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Our aim is to create a contemporary office design which is in an adaptable with its environment. A comfortable working area for every each one of the employees. A modern design to impress the visitors as well. integrating the good feeling of colours in real life with considering balance and harmony in it. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: For us, our design has to be functional and sustainable. for our customer, it has to be useful and modular. in both ways, we achieved our goal. our designs and ideas combined with their needs and transformed to reality. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: the project started in January 2014 in Izmir-Torbalı and finished in November 2014 from the ground till the top. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Before starting the production, we have finalised all the decisions which we have to make and choose all the basic materials to create our dream. We develop our design on an idea. which are natural materials like glass, hardwood, concrete, stone, steel..etc will help us to reach our aim to provide clear and comfortable working spaces. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: the building is 3000m2 in total. 1000m2 for each floor. all floors are in use for different purposes. TAGS: warm&comfortable RESEARCH ABSTRACT: When we started to deal with the project the needs were given to us. we combine our research with needs & our design and started to determine our rules. they were simple. use the daylight, use the spaces efficient. create a natural and comfortable office. provide some humor in it. CHALLENGE: With a good background, experience and enough source it is easier to create but it is always a challenge to make it real in life. at first, everything was perfect but when we are done with the construction part there was a calculation mistake in the mechanic department of the company and they said that all the ventilation pipes have to grow. this affects all the ceiling height and we feel like we are doomed. as a solution, we redesign the electricity basis from ground to ceiling to provide height which we loose because of the ventilation system. is was a tough call but we made is and succeed. The company has lots of offices, factories and suppliers all around the world. One of the operational and production side is in Turkey. This new building of the company is located in an industrial area in İzmir Turkey. |
