| DESIGN NAME: The V-House PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential- House INSPIRATION: Like a fine wine, the interior features a well-balanced mix of elements with fine materials, dashes of colour, plus unique ornamentation and furnishings all working together. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The V-house is a series of three-storey, semi-detached houses located in Hong Kong. Designer has employed a minimalist style, and putting great effort into detailng, colours, materials. One of the design concepts has been to add layers in the house through the use of colour, texture and lighting. Different staircases has been incorporated int the design to amp up the mood and style of the house. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The owners have a relatively high standard of interior design. In order to fulfil their request of an innovative and unconventional design, careful choices must be made from the general design to a piece of exquisite ornament. To build a home for two in a spacious detached house, visual effects and life elements of high quality are essential, as well as a reasonable budget allocation. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: One of the main design concepts has been to add layers in the house through the use of colour, texture and lighting. Different staircases has been incorporated into the design to amp up the mood and style of the house. Materials such as marble, piano paint, iron with white enamel paint, plastics, and artificial seamless stone are used, expressing the layers in the usage of materials. Designer uses multiple sources of lights in the house. There are functional lightings, also the lightings that will amp up the mood and interest of the house. For example, up lights are added to create some drama in a dark corner. Spotlights are perfectly placed to highlight a piece of sculpture or piece of art.
