| DESIGN NAME: Joint PRIMARY FUNCTION: Jewelry set INSPIRATION: Connection is always the theme me, transform connection into jewellery need a very special structure. Joint inspired by the shape of DNA and the structure of Bearing. DNA is a secret code of everybody. The shape of DNA represents genetic, represents lives, represents who you are. The structure of Bearing inspired me a new and extraordinary way of connection. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a new and extraordinary way to connect beads, connection without any puncture, without any chain, it's connected only by surroundings. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This idea is better without using any glue/pin/string... It's a new way to connect beads and metal. All the claw with a smooth shape and twist a bit makes the idea more close to the shape of DNA. Silver metal element is recombinant. For making it harder and also more tenacity, more easy to catch the stone without change the shape of design. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2015 and finish in July 2015 in Guangzhou,china. It was exhibited in Guangzhou, Macao, Shenzhen and Hong kong. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Silver metal element is recombinant. For making it harder and also more tenacity, more easy to catch the stone without change the shape of design. Nature Pink stone with white drop shape zircon gives us the feeling of life and energy. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Stone bead 14mm / 10mm One parts of metal :22mm x 16.5mm x 17.5mm Necklace Length: 18 inch Bracelet Length: 8 inch Joint is combined basic on 2 different parts. The most difficult technic is how to claw the stone without glue / pin / string, only cover by metal claw with drop shape crystal. TAGS: Joint,Necklace,Brace RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Connection is always the theme to me, I have been working on it for a long time. Not only design something beautiful but also interesting structure. I had been thinking about this for almost a year, still had no idea. But once I pray to God then suddenly the idea come into my mind. I think this is a sign from God, and I have to make it ! CHALLENGE: In the beginning of this idea, I draw it in Rhino, and 3d printed many time for the precise size how catch the stone but not completely cover it, how to move easily and also steady in the same time. For making it harder and also more tenacity, more easy to catch the stone without change the shape of design. All the nature was handmade, there is no stone without hole in the market.
