PRIMARY FUNCTION: Electronic Weighbridge Terminal
INSPIRATION: Intelligent Weighbridge Terminal can replace the requirement of computer and monitor screen which are commonly required. And there is no option available with UX and UI graphic screen with microprocessor based control console having custom programming to give smart interface for data input and to generate require output. With proper design of weighbridge terminal a unique cost effective solution can be generated which can be customised in form of input, programming, graphical interface and output parameter.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Matrix Intelligent Terminal system has enhanced UX and UI graphic screen with microprocessor based HMI display and control console having custom programming to give smart input, processing and data logging, which eliminate requirement of personal computer. The terminal unit designed with eye catching aesthetic and ergonomics. The terminal has SD & micro SD card slot, three USB connectors, three RS323, one D9 Pin, one RS485 and One RJ45 connector, 24V Input output supply, 24V LED indication and a zero switch all this make it like a PC.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Rugged and robust design with 7" TFT colour display that can be work as a substitute of computer to generate weighment slip, report, SQL data management & printing. . Customised fields Vehicle number, commodity party etc can be set as per requirements. Codes can be generated and stored along with the tare weight of vehicle for repeatedly used data. Reports like date wise, vehicle wise, commodity wise party wise can be generated, printed and exported in USB pen drive. Calibration reminder can be set with name of inspector, contact details and verification certificate number.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2014 and finished in July 2015 in Rajkot at Universal Designovation Lab LLP. Project covered research, ideation, engineering and manufacturing stages.

Load cell assembly is designed and manufactured very precisely to absorb excessive impact forces caused when vehicle enter and leave the weighbridge.
All load cells are mounted on mounting assembly for better accuracy and repeatability.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 300 mm x Depth 350 mm x Height 250 mm. Heavy Hmi based display. The hmi is also used for data entry through keyboard during the process of Weighment.Parallel printer port for connecting a standard 80 column dot matrix printer for printing Weighment slip and daily reports.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Every time the weighbridge is installed, a computer system with monitor is required to operate it with customised input and output parameter. Logically we don't need computer system but we only need customised processor with program that will generate user required output with a given input. That can be done with HMI display with enhanced UX and UI graphic screen with microprocessor having custom programming to give smart input, processing and data logging. Matrix intelligent weighbridge terminal replace computer in all functionality aspects.
CHALLENGE: To design and developed new HMI based embedded and control which replace use of computer. To integrate all input and output connectors with 7" TFT colour HMI display with enhanced UX and UI graphic screen with microprocessor having custom programming and control console. To make it customised in terms of programming and output report generation. To make empathic design with international look and feel.
