Inspired by the fashion current “atom punk”, this piece has the noble visage of the Victorian era chairs, while showing the angular and dynamic lines of the 60’s futuristic rockets.
The vertices emulate the rear fenders of the 1959 cars, and its structure has no square angles, which gives it a very impressive dynamism that requires being the center of attention in any room.

In addition to the dynamic and sumptuous beauty of this chair, it is amazingly comfortable to sit in a relaxed position, which makes it ideal for a living room. It´s multilayer cushion with electric support allows a perfect fit to anyone.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The amplitude and ergonomics of the chair allows various types of accommodation for an average person. It can be used as a rest or reading chair. The design provides a very modern architectural style for retro modern spaces.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
This project took 16 weeks from the first sketches to the final prototype for mass production, made in the laboratory and prototype design in Mérida, Yucatán, México.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
The built in base is made with German beech wood, and is assembled with a structure of solid poplar wood using aluminum angular reinforcements. All fit together to allow for maximum strength and timely follow-up to the intended design.

Laboratory tests and vector engineering studies were necessary to achieve that the angular lines connect in a reliable and durable way. The cushion system took a special study to allow perfect ergonomics.
The design of the manufacturing process, with high-tech machinery took a series of prototypes for maximum performance of the materials and the optimization of process automation. The piece was completely finished by hand in the upholstery, providing a particular character.
