DESIGN NAME: Da Si Xi
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restaurant Interior Design
INSPIRATION: About the practicality and the aesthetics, we built in sets of mobile recharging outlets on the shelves above the tables, besides the fact that all kinds of mobile can be recharged on the site; it also fits the ergonomic concern of human eyesight and keeps the eating area tidy. We used three Chinese characters, the name of this restaurant: Da Si Xi (Big Four Happiness) transforming to become the interior installations, Ceiling design imitates the Chines font "Da", and the dining box design imitates the Chines font "Si" "Xi". Especially Xi means boys and girls get together and have happy endings, therefore we created a box where makes two people come in and enjoy a wonderful dinner. We believe the truth that users are always an important part of design elements. Users complete the design.

San cai, this means the sky, the earth and the human. These are concepts from the Chinese classical philosophy book : Yi Jing ( Book of Changes ) to create a nice restaurant space. This design overturned the stereotype of common establishments of restaurant environment in steady tone of colors to construct the atmosphere of feast.
For the diversity, we built both individual boxes and public canteen in the eating area; the recharging shelves were functioned as a subtle visual division to avoid the eye contact of the opposites as we care about both openness and privacy of diners, we aimed to provide a social able and confortable eating circumstance.
We combined the traditional and modern design dialogs by using both traditional Eastern and modern Western symmetric pattern for the hollow sculpture of partitions everywhere.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: We built in a set of mobile recharging outlets on the shelf above the long table.
These meet the xcergonomic concerns as well as keeping the eating area tidy. The unique feature of this arrangement is that no matter what brand of cellphone or other electronic device the consumer has, they will be able to recharge it without needing an adaptor cable. The device also rests in a convenient, accessible location so consumers can operate or view them during their meal. Furthermore, the device is clearly visible at all times so consumers will not leave them behind.
Since Chinese dining culture typically involves ordering multiple dishes, the table is often crowded. The shelf outlets mean that consumers can ensure their devices are not affected by spills or splashes during their meal, relieving them of this concern and providing a more relaxed dining experience.
Mobile devices have become such an important part of our lives. What makes this design feature unique is that it specifically caters to these devices by recognizing their importance to consumers.
Meeting this need will be a growing concern, and designs such as this will become increasingly necessary in the service industry. The design leads this trend.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We follow one of our important concepts: people-orientated and customer-centric
The emotional promotions and user-friendly design we helped to improve the marketing science of restaurant business, i.e. combing convenience of delicious Chinese food and mobile recharging service in this Chinese-modern, beautiful restaurant, and this practical attraction and sensory temptation increased the desire and willingness of consuming.
No like normal Chinese restaurant, the fine design of the river, fishes, lotuses, and lighting on the ceiling and the use of the images and calligraphy of the name of the restaurant to run through the whole sitting area, this concept absolutely subverted the common establishments and stereotype of restaurant space to attract customers who want something different.
With our design, this restaurant provides delicious food, mobile recharging and a nice, chic eating environment that brought great business the restaurant owner.

Consumers not only enjoy the delicious food, but also enjoy the extra considerate service in this restaurant.
RESEARCH ABSTRACT: To reflect to the greater aspects of Chinese culture, we embedded the joyful, traditional Chinese blessing Hua Hao Yue Yun ( elixir of love ) in the entrance wall as a hollow sculpture, added hand-tied suede ropes for the seat partitions, and customized design, symmetric and exquisite lines to reveal the gorgeous and traditional/classical/eternal of Chinese temperament.
The symmetric totem bulkheads emphasize the style of Chinese-Modern-Minimal.
Finally, we truly created a new eating culture in Taiwan.
