| DESIGN NAME: hello Naturally Friendly Toothpastes PRIMARY FUNCTION: Prevent cavities and strengthen enamel INSPIRATION: According to company founder, Craig Dubitksy, there’s no such thing as a boring category, just boring execution, & that’s why hello created these toothpastes. Until now, innovation in oral care was limited to the latest “super,” “max,” or “ultra,” multi-benefit introduction, or peroxide-based whitening. We believe products can and should appeal to users’ taste buds + eyes, and evoke a positive emotional response, way beyond the tired “classic” fear and shame-based drivers in the category. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: When creating a new toothpaste, we knew it had to be as natural as possible while still being effective & that it had to taste good. Clinically tested, our pastes have a very high Pellicle Cleaning Ratio & a fairly low Relative Dentin Abrasion, meaning that the pastes thoroughly clean without being harsh on enamel. Using a natural silica that gently polishes teeth & maintains a low level of SLS, a surfactant that creates a satisfying foam, but which can be an irritant at traditional levels OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: - |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Our tubes are an all color fully extruded 5 layer mdpe with a matte finish for a soft touch. They are also crinkle proof from start to finish, so there’s no messy tubes sitting on your counter. We also re-engineered the threads on the neck so the cap always faces forward for ease of use. The tubes are silk screened to allow for our whites to be vibrant and legible also creating a tactile texture when using the product. We feel these little details make for a better product which entails a better consumer experience SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Hello Fluoride Toothpaste Tube: 6 1/4" x 2 1/1"x 1 1/4" Hello Fluoride Toothpaste Box: 6 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" Hello Kids' Toothpaste Tube: 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/4" Hello Kids' Toothpaste Box: 5 3/4" x 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" TAGS: oral care, personal care products, toothpaste RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Toothpaste stain removal efficacy & abrasivity testing: hello has an RDA well within the safety limit as suggested by the International Organization for Standardization. Determination of the cleaning ability of dentifrices to remove stained pellicle: hello is effective at removal of extrinsic stain. Fluoride tests: treatment of incipient enamel lesions with hello toothpaste results in effective fluoride uptake that was more bioavailable as compared to the ADA standard. Tests of Dentifrices for ADA Acceptance Program and ADA Fluroide Analyses Profile: hello toothpastes met all ADA requirements for total fluoride, available fluoride in fresh and aged samples at 1-minute release rate in fresh and aged samples.
