DESIGN NAME: Splash
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pendant
INSPIRATION: The splash pendant is designed based on a very short moment when a stone piece collides with water. We all have seen this unique moment countless times although haven't pay enough attention to its beauty, by the use of a freeze shot the forms of water splashes has been applied as the main element of this piece.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Fluid splashes in freeze shots has always been a charming occurrence for the inquiring mind of these days people. In Splash pendant this pure moment has been exploited to attain the main form of the pendant which is designed based on collision between a solid object and liquids. In this piece the fluid spiral form represents the water splashes and the pearl as a metaphor for a stone piece. Spiral forms with its golden ratio make a pleasant appearance for the eyes of user.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Due to the pendant free forms which comes from the nature it interacts with the user as a casual jewelry piece for every day use.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was developed in 2015 in Tehran, Iran and took around 40 days from start to the final step.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This model designed with Computer aided design technology (CAD) softwares such as Tspline and Rhino/Vray. The material is 18K white gold and black pearl.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The pendant has been born from the desire to transform a freeze image of water splash into a piece of jewelry, trying to create it as close as possible to its real fluid forms.
CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge of the design process was to make a fluid form which vividly represents the liquidity of water.
