Compression Testing Equipment

INSPIRATION:
The product was inspired by keep in mind of advanced man and machine interaction. Need to balanced and blend form and function in a advanced way so first time integrated advanced control and innovative product aesthetics of a complex machine has been blended.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
CTM has the unique technical features such as, Full digital design with pace rate indicators. The Design is also enhanced with micro controller processor based and servo controlled based models. The entire equipment can be control through mobile app. This mobile app based feature has an advanced UI based control and visually animated graphic which makes this testing machine very user-centered design and very easy controllable.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The digital compression testing machine has been designed to meet the need for a simple, economic and reliable means to test concrete for its compressive strength. The design expressive of simplicity, both of construction and operation, makes the machine easy to use and maintain. The unit is compact, making it useful for site and Laboratory applications.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in July 2014 in Rajkot at UDLAB and finished in April 2015 at Ahmedabad, EIE Manufacturing Centre. Project covered research to concept to manufacturing stages.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
The Complete unit comprises a loading unit which is of fully welded or two pillar model construction having a cross-head with a spherical seated platen. The lower platen is attached to the top of the piston. The Loading capacity is of 2000 KN, Cubes up to 200 mm & Cylinders up to 150 mm Dia X 300 mm Height can be tested using the appropriate spacers.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
Width 500 mm x Depth 520 mm x Height 1100 mm, Gauges are calibrated in Kilo Newton against certified Proving Ring. Each frame tested for stability and alignment to avoid tension failure during a test and to ensure centre loading. Hydraulic Oil (Tin of 5 Liters). Motorized hydraulic power pack or pumping unit with rapid approach and automatic overload protection.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
This product was born under a close cooperation between the design firm and the company. The aim was to designed near to futuristic testing machine with advanced product features and keep in mind that need to enhanced the man and machine interaction and a relation. A machine is not a dead thing. It can be also interesting using advanced control mechanism.

CHALLENGE:
To designed two pillars based testing equipment and eliminated four pillars in a same load condition.
