For many years paper clips are used for attaching papers to each other temporarily. Now "Biclip" uses the same concept for attaching the wheel and the frame to each other in case of increasing the security of the bicycle in a simple and fast way.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Biclip is a bicycle lock that reminds the cyclist to lock both frame and wheels. This increases the security of bicycle by allowing the cyclist to lock the frame and the wheels separately but simultaneously and with only one lock.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
There are now some locking techniques such as "Two U Locks" or "Sheldon Brown" that secures the wheel and the frame separately, but all of them need two locks. With "Biclip" the cyclist uses only one lock to secure both the frame and the wheels, but because they are locked separately - which is not possible with ordinary locks - the thief still needs to cut the lock twice to steal the bicycle.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in February 2015 and finished in May 2015 in Tehran Iran.

Almost every cyclist has a lock with him self, how ever some of them are in the hurry or simply forget to lock their bicycle correctly.
The main challenge was to design a lock that reminds the cyclist to lock both frame and wheel, helps him to lock them with only one lock and finally separates the locking areas to increase the bicycle security, all 3 in one.
