| DESIGN NAME: Smith The Wooden Lamp PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lighting INSPIRATION: A fusion of Art, Model Toy and Lighting Art - The concept of this table lamp is to walking away from the majority minimalist design in the market. To create the beauty of complexity Model Toy - It is flat packed in a box and come with a Assembly Manual. Customers will be challenged to assemble it. Lighting - It is a table lamp with a vintage Incandescent light bulb to give a warm and vintage mood. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: To walk opposite to the plethora of minimalism lighting in the market is the thinking behind this project. The idea to walk out this thinking is inspired by the complexity and mystery of steampunk and victorian style. Also Steampunk is carrying a sense of rebellion against the society, government and technology. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The lamp could be turn and adjust the angle by turning those handle. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2013 in Nottingham United Kingdom and finished in November 2014. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
