DESIGN NAME: Away from the City

With too much to see outside the city, returning to a clean white canvas might create an impact like a strong waterfall gate that leads to a different world.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is a 150 square meter apartment located in Taipei. The interior spaces are separated by color tones to form a route when coming home. Entering from a gallery-like foyer, a calm voice quiet the clamor down. A bright and clean space gives a big welcome when the front door is opened. Embraced by the pure atmosphere that takes away the vexation. And chestnut flooring delivered a fragrant of protected smell when walking into the bedrooms, which provides a good relaxing mode for bed.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The interior space is being divided into boxes, and use transparent walls to create a daily route but not to block the eye sight when living in it. This is a way to give a open space with a slightly privacy and a invisible route for the residents.
CHALLENGE: The floor height is below average that could possibly make a space feel oppressed. Opening up the interior spaces by purifying the tone and creating partly see through effect that expands the sight of minds. The white connects from ceiling to walls to floor, like a borderless one big room, which erases the restriction from height.
