DESIGN NAME: Bodega Privada Champagne
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Packaging design
INSPIRATION: The inspiration came from vintage keys of the Victorian era. The rich ornaments on locks and keys inspiered to create the range of these premium champagnes.
Keys are symbols of opening and closing. Locks and keys are part of our lives in various ways. Sometimes we would like to lock something we really love or desire in a secret place.
Keys also affect our lives in other ways; they give us security – we can lock our door and know that no one else has the key. We have keys to our homes, to our belongings. When we’re away from home, we’re always carrying keys.
Keys naturally belong to locks, which in turn require a bolt or beam, and those could only work in a swinging door or gate, which in turn required hinge pins, one on top and one on bottom. Without keys, no locks.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Bodega Privada means Private Cellar in Spanish, thus we were inspired by the idea that these champagnes are part of a private collection. A kind of club that keeps its secrets locked away.
To enter the cellar the consumer should need the key. The first champagnes brings the key that enables to open the other bottles.
The key placed on the black bottle is an exclusive design and it was produced specifically for this project.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: We have to work toghether with Apholos, metal labels supplier, to ger the key we have dreamt produces. We also worked hard with the Printing House to perforate the paper labels in the keyhole, which gives a unique personality to the label design.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Designed by Tridimage and produced by Apholos, leader supplier of metallic labels of exceptional quality, the key is the "key" element of the brand concetp created for our client.
The paper labels showcase pattern with a pearl/metallized look which enchances visual appealing. The hole in the label attract consumers to "spy through the keyhole" of the bottle.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We researched all the champagne botlles and lables from the Argentine market an quite a lot of other countries. We found fantastic examples of labels design, but we wanted no label to achieve a distinctive identity.
Locks and keys make us think of things that are secret and hidden as well as things that are inaccessible.
CHALLENGE: The challenge was to design a complete range of premium and exclusive champagnes that strive to bring pride and prestige to the company. The first idea was to differentiate their most premium product in a bottle whitout a typical label.
We wanted to bring some kind of mysterious aura to the product. That was the trigger for the idea of the key, making a direct reference of the process of the product production, which is ketp by secret until it is ready to unveil.
