| DESIGN NAME: Bird PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wearable input device INSPIRATION: The inspiration for the whole concept was taken from the movie Minority report. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: bird™ is an innovative wearable device which aggregates the entire spectrum of interactive methods into a ring-like accessory, comfortably worn on the index finger. With bird, the entire room transforms into a 3D interactive work space: the user can interact with displayed images on any surface as if it were a touch screen, with accurate control and unparalleled sensitivity. Further interaction abilities include Remote Touch, Hovering, Depth Sensing, Gesture control and even mouse functionality. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The usage experience is as follows: connect the sensor to your projector and use to auto calibration to set it up. Connect the dongle to your computer/laptop. Put the thimble on your finger - it turns on automatically. use it as a remote mouse or touch the surface on which the projector shows the image. Charge the thimble inside the cradle between sessions. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Israel in October 2013 and finished in February 2015.
