DESIGN NAME: Curve
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chair
INSPIRATION: I have always been creating things and I particularly like chairs. I am a petrol head and love engineering so this was the obvious next step.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Paradisi Curve has a beautifully elegant double concave carbon fibre composite seat, difficult & labour-intensive to achieve a flawless finish. The metal work is aerospace-grade aluminium that is painstakingly machined on a CNC milling machine, and the carbon fibre is polished giving it an interesting look against the course-grained leather-work. I think this combination in black and silver is just stunning. Each chair is unique and numbered. This is bespoke perfection.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Comfortable to sit on
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was started in May 2012 in London & finished June 2013. PARADISI uses the same CAD software used to create the Eurofighter Typhoon & every minute detail of every angle, chamfer and radius is obsessively perfected in 3D space. The carbon fibre composite is treated with exactly the same care and respect, every carbon fibre layer is laid by hand meticulously to ensure the weave is perfect and the result flawless. All components are autoclave processed to ensure maximum consolidation.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Paradisi Curve has a double concave carbon fibre composite seat. Each chair is unique & numbered. Designed on CAD software, every minute detail of every angle, chamfer & radius was obsessively perfected in 3D space. Every carbon fibre layer is laid by hand meticulously to ensure the weave is perfect & the result flawless. Each metal piece was painstakingly machined on a CNC milling machine. All finished off with a beautifully-crafted course-grained leather cushion. This is bespoke perfection.
CHALLENGE: To produce a unique & distinctive, beautifully elegant and comfortable chair that can be described as art as well as furniture, but art to be used, caressed and enjoyed as well as admired and displayed.
