| DESIGN NAME: Apartment on Mid-level PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Space INSPIRATION: Inspired by the shaped of the apartment, we add in more lines and angles to connecting the two level of the apartment. At the lower level, a line begins at the entrance leading to a platform defining the living and dining space. Another decorating the base of the staircase visible in the kitchen. This duplex apartment situated in the commercial center of Hong Kong, gifted with a fascinating skyscraper view. To maximum the space that could enjoy the view and natural night, we take an open approach to most of the rooms in the apartment. Inspired by the shaped of the apartment, we add in more lines and angles to connecting the two level of the apartment. At the lower level, a line begins at the entrance leading to a platform defining the living and dining space. Another decorating the base of the staircase visible in the kitchen. Following the other one starting from the bar table all along to the stairway, we go up to the higher level of the apartment. First thing comes into eyes is a close up to one of the most famous building in Hong Kong. The glass partition used in this room of two captured large amount of sunlight into the walkway which was once dimmed and packed. To maintain a balance between the outside commercial skyscraper and the interior space, we use lots of wood and light color, maintain a cozy and relaxing environment for the family. Besides, we design an easy handle for the cooking space. The owners can close it completely when they are doing a meal for the family or it could use an interacting space between the cook and the guests. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The apartment is surrounded by the skyscraper in the commercial center. We use the lines of the apartment to connect the family and the city. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project lasted for half a year to completed and it is located on the mid-level of Hong Kong FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Our design stay very close to what the client needs. As to an interior, how’s it function and perform is more important. We talk a lot with the client to know what they want and think for them.
