| DESIGN NAME: V PRIMARY FUNCTION: Transforming Accessory Glasses INSPIRATION: a friend of mine often put glasses on and off. cause glasses are surely inconvenient, I have thought how to remove these discomfort and awkwardness. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: shape of butterfly wing, each one looks like two different butterflies : "papillon" and "glass butterfly". It can be folded into half and attached to clothes, hair... everything. Cause v is same structure as teeth hair clip. also, the glasses do not contain hinge on each side. leg of the glasses are attached to the body with strong neodymium magnet, so they are easy to remove. then keep them in a pocket! OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: remove legs attached by magnet. now the glasses body is an teeth hair clip which looks like butterfly. fold that and clip anywhere! glasses itself is a perfect fashion item. by the way, when it transformed, it can be used in much more various way. you can clip your hair and will be look like a butterfly resting on hair. you can clip it on your shirt to be look like a casual bow tie. If you just clip it on your clothes, will look like much more bright and warm. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: the project started in August 2013 in Seoul and finished in February 2015 in Seoul. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: production process is pretty like ordinary acetate glasses. but after body-bending, do not place hinge, but place a neodymium magnet. after that, divide body into half and transfuse nose-pad and teeth hair clip structure. hinge : neodymium magnet. body and legs : acetate. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: three-dimension product. 123 mm x 143 mm x 43.6mm (lens 88mm x 38mm ) TAGS: glasses, clip, accessory, butterfly, fashion, gadget RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I have researched myself how to remove discomfort of glasses since 2013.
