| DESIGN NAME: SOLIDO PRIMARY FUNCTION: Entry Level Toaster INSPIRATION: We wanted to create a design that is modern looking with smooth lines. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Entry-level toasters today are bulky and coarse due to cost-efficiency issues. However, a stylish and elegant form is achieved and complex geometries are avoided by following the modern lines of today in Solido toaster although it is made of less material with lower costs. It is a compact product that suits well with the kitchen of the user thanks to its simple form and that the user would like to bring forward as being decorative. This product shows a simple presence when it is positioned vertically while it is not in use. Also, an impressive experience is provided without compromising on the product ergonomy; and an ergonomic grip is provided to the user thanks to the special design of the Handle. When the lower and upper parts of the handle are closed, it seems like they are split although the handles are closed. The purpose of this is to direct the user and help him/her in gripping the upper handle part practically when he/she lifts it each time. Also, wide area of the handle helps for protecting the user from heat. Moreover, the temperature setting button is positioned on the hinge to move it away from the heat.
