DESIGN NAME: Tree
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lighting
INSPIRATION: Tree branches and their connections are the main inspirations for this product; in such a way that similar units in different scales connecting to each other to form a modular shape. The Tree light functions similar to tree branches and can be added or deducted by the users needs.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The effect of the users’ taste in reproduction, assembly and arrangement verities is a great need in today’s life. In this project, replication of the module that has been inspired by tree branches can be used in various functions. Different lighting practices and easy assembly is the main feature of this project.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This chandelier is suitable for indoor spaces and is similarly hanged off the ceilings .it is expandable if needed by adding more predefined connections which can be expanded to form additional tree branches. This product can be used singularly or in multiple shapes by users’ choices.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: started in August 2014 in Tehran and finished in January 2015 in Tehran

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main body of the artifact is made out of glazed ceramic by whitewash molding .The lighting source is LED lights covered by sand blasted glass. The product is hanged off the ceiling by nylon strings.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 500 mm x Depth 170 mm x Height 40 mm.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: My researches in this project were mainly on different ceramic molding and various lighting methods.
CHALLENGE: The most challenging parts of this project were creating the best module with correct connections for single and multiple usages to keep the product’s balance, the hanging method and the material to create a product with functional abilities and modern statics.
