| DESIGN NAME: Milko PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional Card Reader INSPIRATION: The client that is mentioned at below indicated in design brief the product wanted, should be compatible with both PCs, tablets and smart phones. After, we researched and realize that the product we will design will be the first in the world thanks to integrated functions. So this was the biggest motivation during the project. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Milko is a multi-funtional smart card reader which is worked on PC, tablet ,smart and mobile electronic devices. With its features, it is the first all-in-one product in the World. By supporting both IOS and Android operating systems, Milko can create electronic signature on electronic devices. It also supports all devices having 30-PIN and lighting connectors with the help of USB cable converter. Whether use your electronic certificate in the size of SIM Card or an identity card. Milko Smart Reader is a single product that can serve both two usage. With this feature it has a distinctive design among its equivalents. It is easier to track card readers thanks to RFID technology. Like certificates, card readers can be customized as well. With all these features, it is easy to carry and use Milko. It is a unique product which has a small, thin and strong design, as well as being water resistant. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: For using the product it is enough to pushing the base out of the its cover. When needed, big sized card will be placed, the base can be rotated easily and the card is placed. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was designed in February 2014 in Ankara. |

CHALLENGE: To designing card reader with clearly distinctive appearance from USB memories is the some kind of a challenge at the first stages of design process.
