PRIMARY FUNCTION: Commode
INSPIRATION: Inspiration for Egocentric came from images of the chic epoque of Art Deco, but it was rethought in accordance of modern design sense.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Egocentric is a Limited Edition series of a big scale commode. It has 2 versions. It is created in attractive arch shape and complicated design in connection of different materials. Commode is handcrafted piece. Eternal combination of black and white showily supplemented by polished copper details and emerald green glass. Eye-catching geometric shapes and high glossy lacquered body make Egocentric a perfect sample of a New Art Deco style.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Egocentric has showy design with complicated details from all sides. Stripes are living with beveled hexagons, lines, spherical legs and volume parts. It makes Egocentric interesting to look in a different ways. It is a perfect design accent to every interior.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2014 in Veneto. The first 2 items were sold for a private collections in Russia and OAE. The official premiere of design fairs is planned on 2015.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Commode is handcrafted piece and it is carefully painted, lacquered and polished several times to reach the mirror effect. Eternal combination of black and white showily supplemented by polished copper details and emerald green glass.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: To create Egocentric was needed to research the historical aspects of Art Deco style and the best samples of architecture, furniture and jewelry design of that time. Then the regenerated information formed the basis of the main idea.
CHALLENGE: Egocentric has a multi details design. And it is a challenge to realize the item with a perfect connection of different materials. In one item we use wood in a high glossy lacquer, polished copper and filtered glass. It took a lot of time to do all in a best way.
