DESIGN NAME: Black Hole
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Table Lamp
INSPIRATION: A black hole is a mathematically defined region of spacetime exhibiting such a strong gravitational pull that no particle or electromagnetic radiation can escape from it. Both the lackness of three dimensionality and the lackness of radiating any lights is the inspiration and the irony itself.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The way it stands and its dynamic balance makes the lamp unique. On the cable there is the electronic dimmer which allows the regulation of light brightness. The emphasize the black hole's form the body part is made up of glass. The black part is made of back metal as to abstract the black hole's shape and form.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Materials and their own actions derive various sketches from the contradictions. As a result glass and metal are the best possible materials for this project. On the cable there is the electronic dimmer which allows the regulation of light brightness.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2015 and finished in February 2015.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The body part is made up of glass and the luminosity part is made up of black metal. The glass and metal parts are casted and moulded.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research started with how the glass and the metal are casted. And decided to produce the by casting. And the research's base point was the nature of the Black Hole and design a lamp in contrast to that nature and make a lamp to reduce the light on the name of Black Hole.
CHALLENGE: The most challenging thing on the creative period was to stabilise the balance and its dynamic. And hiding the light having the indirect light was challenging.
